About the island

Nohwado Island, a stopping point en route to Bogildo Island, is well known for its abalone and mussel production.

The island produces 70% of Korea's cultivated abalone, and offers seashell harvesting programs.

Other attractions include Nohwa Red Sea, Geuknaksa Temple, and the 450-year-old hackberry tree.
